FRIENDSHIP DAY SPECIAL: How The Dosti Of Shah Rukh-Farah, Ranveer-Arjun, Salman-Preity, Ajay-Tabu Stood The Test Of Time- EXCLUSIVE ON 9X JALWA

9X Jalwa has already started celebrating Friendship Day, which will be celebrated on Sunday. Keep watching the channel. The stories of Bollywood friendships being shown are a treat. One of them is as such, which tells you the most celebrated dosties which may have gone haywire at times but came back to only cement themselves.

1. Ranveer + Arjun:
There was too much loose talk that they were insecure about each other during Gunday and quite unhappy in each other's presence; but God knows when the tables turned and they hit it off as thick as thieves. Today, they are just 'Yeh dostin hum nahin todenge, chhodenge dum magar tera saath na chhodenge"

2. Anushka + Katrina:
It began with a fight that is not known. Kat's makeup man shifted loyalties to Anushka for a few days and Kat blew the whistle. After that, they hardly acknowledged each other- until Aanand L Rai's Zero came along. Suddenly, the started bonding on clothes. Kat recommended, Anushka wore them- and vice versa. Anushka in particular loves Kat as an actress and has even gone on record to say that "Kaif is not a pretentious actor". Now, that's a b-i-g compliment isn't it?

3. Shahrukh + Juhi: 
 They would've never become friends but destiny had other plans. Juhi and Shah Rukh’s had worked together in films such as Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Darr (1993), Parmatma (1994) and Ram Jaane (1995). However, it was only during the shoot of Duplicate that they got close to each other and shared a great bond thereafter. Juhi had lost her mother during those days and SRK stood beside her like a rock, comforting her as and when he could.

4. Kajol + Karan Johar:
It all began during Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, but of late there was lots of 'gham' in this dosti which once upon a time had bloomed to its fullest. Karan and Kajol's husband Ajay Devgn had issues with each other, courtesy the clash between Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Later, Karan apologised to Kajol on national television;  "I missed those years when we didn't speak.I wish I could take that chapter out of my book.I have to say this on National TV but I am really sorry. I shouldn't have written that chapter in my book."

5. Tabu + Ajay:
Its' said that Tabu never married because she couldn't marry Ajay. Tabu has said: ‘If I am single today, it’s only because of Ajay Devgn’ quote made many people start talking. People used to be shocked by reading the headline, but when they read the whole story, they would understand what I meant. (Today) Ajay and I are very close friends. You bond differently with different people, Ajay and I have a special type of bondI Dosti ho toh aisi!

6. Rohit + Ajay:
It was speculated that this one had bitten dust when Rohit went on to work with SRK in Dilwale. Rohit and Ajay's bromance goes back to the Golmaal days when the director tasted success after the release of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. What stands out here is that Rohit has been categorical that he is what he is today only because of Ajay. Quoting Rohit: "No one can take Ajay’s place. He’s been a great support system to me. Whatever I’m today is because of him. He is like my elder brother and that can never change." 

 7. Salman + Preity: 
Salman helped Preity when she was in acute financial crisis. Once a star who ruled the roost with films like Kya Kehna, Koi…Mil Gaya and Kal Ho Na Ho, went out of cash when she turned producer with Ishq In Paris in 2012. Due to multiple delays and financial crunches, the film continued to get delayed and Preity was left huffed and puffed. It was Salman who bailed her out.  To quote Preity, "I don't want to say that he's my best friend as it sounds clichéd but he's somebody I would do anything for. He's my friend for ever and ever. I shall always stand by him like a rock."

8. Farah-SRK:
This one almost ended up, but things are better now. The downslide began when SRK refused Farah  to star in her ambitious venture of Satte Pe Satta. And then of course came the huge public spat between SRK and her husband Shirish. 5 years down the line today, we hear, Farah may sign him up for the remake!

9. Salman + Sanjay: 
Contrary to reports, Salman and Sanjay are absolutely fine with each other, on date. Sanjay will never forget that Salman got him an entire season to host his reality show Bigg Boss in Season 5.

10. Ranbir + Ayan:
Inseparable duo. Ayan is RK's 3 am friend. And bet you didn't know this- Ayan went all out to patch Ranbir and Katrina when they broke up. That they failed to come to terms is a different story, but both Kat and RK told him everything that had led them to end their beautiful relationship.
